"Hölzlifächer" our ice-cream stick can be seen at the mudac, alongside the other "Esquimaux" in the kitchen of Extraordinaire.
For exactly 20 years, the Gaudard residence housed the mudac on the Catherdral square in Lausanne (CH). To end this period during which it beautifully played it's role as a museum, the mudac pays a tribute, offering it to house for a period of 3 months a rich selection of extra-ordinary objects and creations, (nearly) all functionnal.
“It’s just a dream” is our reflective take on HyperAktiv.li’s “Bring Your Own Mask” (BYOM) invitation.
In our changed global context, a simple object is making its mark everywhere: the protective face mask. The BYOM project aims to share a palette of new masks of free interpretation illustrating the know-how of swiss designers. Our contribution takes place amongst 37 works from 41 swiss designers, rich in intelligence, poetry and ingenuity.
“It’s just a dream” is a non-functional poetic interpretation of a complete face mask, revealing only some aspects of the face whilst blurring others. Made out of tracing paper and tape, it is a dreamy interpretation of the current situation in which things feel floaty and surreal.
